Top Ten Tuesday (#8): Top Ten Books By My Favorite Authors That I’ve Yet to Read

It’s Tuesday again! You know what that means? Top Ten Tuesday time!!

If you guys don’t know what it is, it was started by The Broke and the Bookish and they’ve since handed the torch to That Artsy Reader Girl , where it’s currently in the best hands possible!

This week’s theme is totally something I can relate to. You have those auto-buy authors that you just adore and have to buy all their books… but sometimes you’re overwhelmed with everything you’ve got and just don’t get to them all in a timely manner. So, here’s 10 books by some of my favorite authors that I DEFINITELY need to read ASAP.

sada

1. Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff

I flew through Nevernight and haven’t got around to this one, despite it sitting on my shelf for ages.

2. Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray

I adore her writing and anything Sci-fi, so I definitely want to read this book. Again, it’s been sitting on my shelf since its release.

3. City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab

Schwab is a writing goddess and even though it was just released, I’m still sad that I haven’t read this one yet.

4+5. Vicious and Vengeful by V.E. Schwab

I know… I know. I haven’t read this because I’ve been dying for the sequel to come out and now that it’s officially released (happy book birthday to Vengeful!) I want to read them both!

6-8. The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan

I bought this trilogy ages ago and haven’t gotten around to reading it, which is so weird, because Egyptian mythology has been my FAVORITE since I was little.

9. Artemis by Andy Weir

I loved The Martian, so when this was one of the choices for the BOTM, I had to get it. I’m just sad that I haven’t gotten to it yet.

10. A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir

Perhaps the worst of all, I haven’t read this yet and I don’t know why. I’ve been in a slump and just had the worst luck when trying to start certain books. Soon though, I want to read this by the end of the year.

Anyone have any of the same they haven’t read? What’s the worst one for you?

  1. I really do need to read some Schwab! The only book on your list that I’ve read is Artemis — and honestly, I didn’t think it came near to living up to The Martian, unfortunately. Happy reading!
