Alright, another bandwagon to jump on for me! (hooray!!) This one is hosted by Sam over at: Taking On a World of Words
Basically, you answer the three W’s each week, which are:
-What are you currently reading?
-What have you recently finished reading?
-What do you think you’ll read next?
So, without further ado, here’s mine:
These are my current reads.
–Zodiac by Romina Russel
I set it down about a week ago, I’m about 44% of the way through, but I was struggling to actually get attached to any of the characters. I’ve heard so many good things though, I don’t want to give up and I picked it back up this morning so I could finish it soon. *fingers crossed*
-The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E Pearson
I’m fresh of a re-read of The Kiss of Deception , I hadn’t read it since it was released, so now that I’m finally reading this one, I’m stoked. I adore Lia, I think she’s very intuitive and rational. She’s got a great mind and a huge heart, and I’m loving the story so far. I’m about 20% of the way through this one, and can’t wait to finish it!
What I’ve finished recently!
–Ink, Iron, and Glass by Gwendolyn Clare
I don’t know if any of you guys have read this one, but man. The story line for this one was so interesting, and I still can’t get over how brilliant the world building was. I definitely loved the main character and cannot WAIT for the sequel.
-The Wicked + The Divine, Vol. 2: Fandemonium by Kieron Gillen
If you guys are interested in graphic novels, these are worth checking out. They’re definitely geared more towards NA/ Adult readers, but here’s the synopsis:
Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. The team behind critical tongue-attractors like Young Avengers and PHONOGRAM reunite to create a world where gods are the ultimate pop stars and pop stars are the ultimate gods. But remember: just because you’re immortal, doesn’t mean you’re going to live forever.
The story line is amazing though, and the artwork is beautiful! I’ve been picking them up from the library and I’m planning on grabbing the next one when I return this.
-The Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson
Need I say more? If you haven’t read this book yet, do yourself a favor. I love the fantasy elements and the world building and, as I said before, I adore the main character. Plus, Pearson is good at keeping secrets when it comes to certain parts of the story line and it’s just absolutely wonderful.
What I’m hoping to read soon.
Not going to go into each one on this, I’ve got some library books (I tend to mostly borrow manga and graphic novels from there) and then some others I’ve had either for a while or just want to get to soon! See any of your favorites? Let me know down below!
